Title  Pilot study of the WA register of buprenorphine use in pregnancy and lactation: maternal infant outcomes.
Description  This study is designed to determine the duration and dose of buprenorphine exposure for opioid dependent mothers and infants during pregnancy and six weeks postnatally, assess exposure to other opioids such as methadone, monitor the obstetric and neonatal effects of buprenorphine, compare the obstetric and neonatal outcomes with those of a similar study of methadone mothers, and ascertain health care utilisation and adverse effects for two years post delivery through record linkage.
